Two Tricks I have used to save you money while out shopping.
1. If there is an imperfection or something slightly off about a product like a scratch, blemish etc. most stores will give you a 5-10% discount. I have done this primarily with home goods and have saved hundreds over the years.
2. Amazon comparison to in-store shopping: Many stores including some college bookstores will price match if it is an item Amazon is selling for less.
- More recently I saw that Amazon was selling a Canon camera wireless shutter remote at $19.98 plus shipping. I went into Best Buy and it was being sold for $39.99. Their store brand sold for $19.99. I showed them the Amazon price for the Canon brand and it was matched, no problem. Saving about $20.00. *It must be an item Amazon is selling directly, not a third party selling on Amazon.
